Information relating to FACTS Training can be found in the training area of this website.

The FACTS Annual Scheme requires all advisers with the FACTS qualification to renew their membership ( FACTS) annually. They receive a FACTS ID Card, a quarterly newsletter "Fertilizer matters", access to a telephone helpline and entry onto a published list of Annual Scheme Members.

A FACTS website has been set up specifically for members of the FACTS Annual Scheme.

This will finance the scheme's operations and development.  Immediate payment is requested to enable publication of an up-to-date membership list supplied to assurance schemes annually.

Fertiliser Information Scheme

All advisers paying these fees will receive regular updates on technical news and legislation, together with information on further training opportunities. Enquiry facilities are also available in the 'annual package'.

Special dispensation for FACTS advisers already on the BASIS Professional Register

Advisers already on the BASIS Professional Register will have the 'fertiliser' category added when they become FACTS-qualified.  All newly qualified FACTS advisers who are not already members will be automatically added to the BASIS Professional Register, but will not be invoiced for Professional Register membership until the following May.  BASIS Professional Register members will be able to receive the fertiliser updates as described above upon payment of the FACTS annual scheme fee.

Reasons to Enrol on the FACTS Annual Scheme

    1.    Membership increases the authority and status of FACTS advisers 
           and the credibility of the industry;

    2.    Membership also strengthens the value of the FACTS qualification;

    3.    Membership helps those providing agricultural advice to 
           demonstrate increasing commitment to responsible and safe practice;

    4.    The FACTS Annual Scheme provides information on legislative 
           changes and other developments for FACTS 
           2011 members, to encourage responsible use 
           of plant nutrients by end users;

    5.     The FACTS Annual Ccheme provides an annually updated and accessible list of 
            FACTS members for assurance schemes, Government departments, etc.; 
            
    6.     The FACTS Annual Scheme promotes opportunities for further training and 
            Continuing Professional Development (CPD) 
            through the BASIS Professional Register.

Members of the BASIS Professional Register are entitled to claim 12 CPD points if they are also members of the FACTS Annual Scheme.

The Information Update's 'Fertilizer Matters' are primarily distributed by email. Where possible, please provide an up-to-date email address and inform us of any changes immediately.
