Should these be used early in the programme to benefit root structure? (CFG) Use of new SDHI fungicides on turf. Will these have any affects on Fusarium and will they provide greening or health benefits? (CFG) Oilseed rape Options for oilseed rape desiccation: pros and cons of alternatives to glyphosate. (??) Nutrition Variable fertiliser application. How effective is this and would the technique be suitable for use at Shrubhill? (CFG) Imported AN fertiliser could be spread accurately at Harrowden. Are there any disadvantages to imported AN fertiliser, e.g. availability to plants or product analysis, and is it worth the cost saving over a well known brand ? (CFG) Phosphorus nutrition: what are the advantages and disadvantages of TSP, DAP and MAP; and what timings are practical in a rotation based on all winter sown combineable crops ? (??) Are there any likely benefits from application of "TTL" fulvic acid to turf, e.g. improved rooting? (??) Pest control Control of chafer beetles in turf. Damage is caused by direct feeding of the grubs and by birds and badgers feeding on the grubs. How can chafer beetles be controlled? (HEH) Potatoes Potato herbicides for dry conditions. What are the best options for post-emergence applications and for metribuzin-sensitive cultivars? (HEH / JP / CJ) Control of Rhizoctonia in potatoes. What are the options for control of stem canker, in particular, and black scurf? (CJ) Potato cultivar choice. What could replace "Maris Piper"? (CJ) "Meadow Mat" "Meadow Mat" species composition. Is there a potential for inclusion of yellow rattle (Rhinanthus minor) to suppress growth of grasses?
